| I had been waiting a long time for a beautiful tricolor girl to keep and show and Sky is more than I had hoped for. Our Brooklyn and Julsavanna Sweet Georgie Blues produced some of the loveliest puppies ever seen here. I couldn't wait to get her into the ring and she has been so much fun to show, earning both her majors from the 6-9 puppy class and going Reserve WB to majors as well. One of our most memorable moments was winning Reserve at the Greater Chicago Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club Specialty show as a 9-12 month puppy. |
| Sky is more than a just a pretty show dog! Since she was very young she has been a Library Dog in Training at a rural branch library in Central Wisconsin where children come to read to her. She is a very good listener, never interrupts and doesn't correct, which can discourage a love of reading. |
| We have plenty of plans for Sky which include completing her AKC title. We also plan the Sky will earn her Therapy Dog designation. I believe she will love Coursing Ability Tests just as much as her mother and grandmother did! Most of all she will continue to be my sweet, lovable girl! Update - October 28, 2017 Sky passed her Canine Good Citizen Test for her CGC title and qualified for her AKC Trick Dog Novice (TKN) title! She also earned the AKC Achiever Dog Recognition for her outstanding achievements in multiple AKC events. Update - April 18, 2018 At the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club National Specialty Show Sky passed the Canine Good Citizen Advanced Test to earn her CGCA title from the American Kennel Club. |
| For years I have wanted to try showing in other venues in addition to the AKC conformation shows. In September of 2017 I took advantage of a United Kennel Club show that was being held close to home. Sky earned her UKC Champion title that weekend in 4 shows, taking group placements each day. |
| The following weekend we travelled to Illinois to compete in an International All Breed Canine Association show. There Sky competed in 4 shows earning her International champion title with 4 group placements, including 3 Toy Group first place wins in both her breed and Best Bred By Exhibitor Toy Group. She then topped off the weekend with a Reserve Best in show and a Reserve Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show! |
